We are an English speaking couple staying at the Hotel Stefanie between 12-14 June. We are interested in private Vienna tours, but are happy to join a small group. We would like a walking tour of the city, including some of the lesser known areas, preferably on our first day. Also we would like to see Schonbrunn Palace, perhaps on a subsequent day. As for Schonbrunn Palace, there are the usual large group tours which tend to shove visitors through the palace interior and gardens. If you want to spend some time to see and understand Schonbrunn Palace in all its wonderful details in a small group or in private, go for the Baroque Splendours tour. Tour guide Walter is one of the most popular local guides in Vienna. On top, you will also see the Belvedere Castle, Vienna’s second most important baroque palace which houses the National Gallery and the largest collection of Gustav Klimt artwork in the world. By the way, this year is perfect for visiting the Belvedere, as it celebrates the 350th anniversary of its former owner, Prince Eugene of Savoy, with special exhibitions.
