Because I have lived in 7 apartments in 7 different neighborhoods in Vienna do 'steal' my experience with different areas when trying to find the best place. Other than that, my independent shortlist of selected apartments focuses on typical Viennese features: old townhouses with spacious rooms, high ceilings, parquet flooring; and a great breakfast café in less than 10 minutes walk. Kitchen and bathrooms have to be immaculate. Actually, many of these places look like my former flats in Vienna...
