Travel Vienna In April

Vienna Hofburg

Travel Vienna: I am travelling with my boyfriend to Vienna for the first time. We will arrive early in the morning on the 10th from Cesky Krumlov (Czech Republic), probably by Bean Shuttle, and leave on the 12th April.

Would like to visit most of the ‘must-go’ Vienna attractions like the Hundertwasserhaus, Stephansdom, Hofburg etc. Do you think we will have enough time for that and how should the itinerary look like?

I also booked us to the Austrian Dinner Show on the 10th, and thinking about going to the Spanish Riding School show on 11th morning. Do you think we could fit everything in?

Thanks a lot.

Angel

Dear Angel,

you can fit everything you’ve planned into your three days in Vienna. Here is my suggested itinerary, which includes a few other must-see landmarks and nice things to do there.

10th April

Morning – Stephansdom, Hofburg (Imperial Palace) and the city centre; there are very compact Vienna walking tours available which will introduce you to the main attractions of the city centre in one morning; visit a traditional coffeehouse such as Cafe Griensteidl (close to Hofburg)

Afternoon – Hundertwasserhaus

Evening – Austrian Dinner Show

11th April

Morning – tour the Ringstrasse boulevard with the Vienna Ringtram (30 min);
Spanish Riding School

Afternoon – Schonbrunn Palace

Evening – visit a classical concert

If you have some time left on the 12th April, visit one of the local topmuseums, or relax doing some href=”https://vienna-unwrapped.com/vienna-shopping/”>local shopping.

Enjoy Vienna!
regards
Barbara
